Mumps



Mumps, common viral infection causing swelling of the parotid salivary gland. It can also cause problems in swallowing and fever. Usually occurs in children ages 5 through 15 but can occur in adults. For adults, the condition is more severe and can cause swelling of the testes and sterility. It is highly contagious.
