Burgundy



Burgundy (French: Bourgogne), historic region of eastern France, occupying what are now the departments of Côte-d'Or, Saône-et-Loire, Nièvre, and Yonne. It was named for the Burgundians, a Germanic tribe. A rich agricultural region, Burgundy is famous for its wines.
