Buffalo Bill



Buffalo Bill (William Frederick Cody; 1846–1917), U.S. scout and showman. He claimed to have killed 4,280 buffalo to feed the builders of the Kansas Pacific Railway. He rode with the pony express in 1860, and during the Civil War was a scout in Tennessee and Missouri for the Union army. From 1872 he toured the United States and Europe with his Wild West Show.
