Buffalo



Buffalo, any of several humpbacked fishes (genus Ictiobus) of the sucker family. Related to the carp, buffalo are large freshwater fishes that inhabit the bottom of lakes and rivers and feed by sucking up tiny plant organisms. Some grow to 3 ft (91 cm) long and weigh 73 lbs (33 kg). Buffalo are fished for food.
