Aristide Briand



Briand, Aristide (1862–1932), French politician, lawyer, and socialist leader who was 11 times premier of France. As foreign minister (1925–32), he was the author of the Kellogg-Briand Pact (1928). He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1926.
