William Joseph Brennan Jr.



Brennan, William Joseph, Jr. (1906– ), U.S. Supreme Court associate justice 1956–90, appointed by Eisenhower. He became leader of the court's liberal wing, and was a champion of civil rights, free speech, and labor relations.
