Llama



Llama, domesticated South American hoofed mammal (Lama glama) of the camel family. Resembling a large, long-necked sheep, it has thick fleece that may be used for wool and is the principal beast of burden of Native Americans from Peru to Chile, thriving at altitudes of 7,500–13,000 ft (2,280–4,000 m).
