Walter Lippmann



Lippmann, Walter (1889–1974), influential U.S. political columnist and foreign affairs analyst. His column, “Today and Tomorrow,” first appeared in the New York Herald Tribune (1931–62), then the Washington Post (1962–67); it won two Pulitzer prizes (1958, 1962). Books include Public Opinion (1922) and The Good Society (1937).
