Lake Tahoe



Lake Tahoe, deep glacial lake on the California-Nevada border. It is 22 mi (35 km) long, 12 mi (19 km) wide, and up to 1,640 ft (500 m) deep. Its waters flow into the Truckee River and on to Pyramid Lake. It is a popular tourist resort offering fishing, boating, waterskiing, and hunting.
