Jutes

Jutes, Germanic people who originated in Scandinavia, probably in Jutland, the Danish peninsula. With the Angles and Saxons they invaded England in the 5th century, settling in the south and southeast. Their national identify was soon lost, although some cultural influence seems to have survived in Kent.
