Fort Sill, U.S. Army Field Artillery Center, located near Lawton, Okla. Built in 1869 and named after Union Brigadier General Joshua W. Sill, it covers 94,220 acres (38,000 hectares). Apache leader Geronimo is buried at Fort Sill.
