Farmer-Labor Party



Farmer-Labor Party, minor U.S. political party founded 1919 to promote the interests of small farmers and city workers. The party soon foundered nationally, but the separate Minnesota Farmer-Labor Party elected its candidate, F.B. Olsen, governor in 1930, 1932, and 1934. The party merged with the Minnesota Democratic Party in 1944.
