Farmers Home Administration



Farmers Home Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture agency that promotes nationwide rural development by providing credit for those who may not be able to obtain reasonable credit elsewhere. Established in 1946, the Farmers Home Administration extends credit to improve the income of the small farmer, and also helps to finance business and industrial development, community facilities, and housing in rural areas.
