Detroit River



Detroit River, river flowing about 30 mi (48 km) from Lake St. Clair to Lake Erie, separating southeastern Michigan from southern Ontario, and thus forming part of the international boundary between the United States and Canada. It is a busy commercial waterway. Road and railroad tunnels under the river connect Detroit, Mich., with Windsor, Ont.
