Scrofula



Scrofula, tuberculosis of the lymph nodes of the neck, usually acquired by drinking infected milk. The eradication of tuberculosis in cattle and the pasteurization of milk have substantially reduced the incidence of scrofula. Treatment includes antituberculous chemotherapy.
