Ringette

Ringette, sport similar to ice hockey created for women. Invented in Canada in 1963, its popularity has spread to the northern United States and some parts of Europe. Although many of its rules are similar to those of hockey, ringette does not allow body contact. Players use a bladeless stick and a hollow circular puck made of rubber.
