Pipe

Pipe, long hollow tube that transports gas, steam, or liquids. Networks of pipes distribute materials such as water and natural gas in residential communities. They also take away waste, such as sewage. Pipes also have many industrial functions. They carry oil from wells to and through refineries, and in factories they move materials through the manufacturing process. Pipes may be made of metal, wood, concrete, or plastic. The diameter and the material varies according to the purpose.
