Nashua



Nashua (pop. 180,557), city in southern New Hampshire, seat of Hillsborough County, situated on the Merrimack and Nashua rivers. It was settled c.1655 and incorporated in 1853. Originally, river power was used for its textile mills, but its industries now are printing, publishing, paper, leather products, and machinery. Educational institutions include New England Aeronautical Institute, Rivier College, and Daniel Webster College.
