Robert Musil



Musil, Robert (1880–1942), Austrian writer. He is known for The Man Without Qualities (3 vols., 1930–42), an encyclopedic novel about the ills of prewar Austria. Posthumous collections include Tonka and Other Stories (1965) and Three Short Stories (1970).
