Arnica



Arnica, genus of plants of which the flowers and rootstock are used for medicinal purposes. The horizontal, dark-brown, branched rootstock of the arnica sends up a slightly hairy simple or tightly branched stem that reaches a height of 1–2 ft (30–61 cm). The basal leaves are oblong-ovate with short stems.
