Arno River



Arno River, river in central Italy, about 150 mi (241 km) long. Its source lies in the Apennine Mountains, from which it flows through the city of Florence, emptying into the Ligurian Sea below Pisa. Much of its valley is a fertile plain where olives and grapes are grown.
