Ghirlandajo



Ghirlandajo, or Ghirlandaio, Domenico (Domenico di Tommaso Bigordi; 1449–94), Florentine Renaissance painter said to have taught Michelangelo. His frescoes included. St. Jerome (1480) and the Last Supper (1480), both in the Church of the Ognissanti, Florence. He also helped decorate parts of the Sistine Chapel, and is noted for his portraits, among them Grandfather and Grandson.
