Lorenzo Ghiberti
Ghiberti, Lorenzo (1378–1455), Italian sculptor. A Florentine, he was a leading figure of the early Renaissance, famous for his second pair of bronze doors, Gates of Paradise (1425–52), for the Florence baptistery.
