Epistle to the Galatians



Galatians, Epistle to the, 9th book of the New Testament, a letter written by St. Paul to the Christians in Galatia (now central Turkey) to counter the influence of those who taught that Christians must observe Jewish law. It sets forth the basis of Christian freedom, the union with Christ through faith.
