Saint Christopher

Christopher, Saint (3rd century A.D.), Christian martyr and patron of travelers. According to legend, he carried the Christ child across a river. The Roman Catholic Church removed his feast day (July 25) from its liturgical calendar for lack of historical evidence as to his existence.
