Channel Islands



Channel Islands, archipelago totaling 75 sq mi (194 sq km) in area, in the English Channel off northwestern France. Dependencies of the British crown since 1066, they are administered according to their own local constitutions. The main islands are Jersey, Guernsey, Sark, and Alderney.
