Wilt Chamberlain



Chamberlain, Wilt (1936- ), U.S. basketball player. The 7-ft 1-in (216-cm) center, is regarded as one of the most dominant players of all time. Chamberlain holds National Basketball Association (NBA) records for most points in a season (4,029), in a game (100), and most rebounds per season (2,149), and is second on the all-time regular season scoring list (31,419 points). He played for the Philadelphia (now Golden State) Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA (1959–72). He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1978.
