Challenger



Challenger, one of the 4 space shuttles of the NASA space program. On Feb. 3, 1984, it began a spectacular flight (its fourth mission) during which 2 astronauts became the first human beings to fly freely in space. On Jan. 28, 1986, Challenger exploded shortly after lift-off with a crew of 7 aboard.
