Truman Capote



Capote, Truman (1924–1984), U.S. writer. His best-known works are Breakfast at Tiffany's (1958) and In Cold Blood (1965). His earlier works include Other Voices, Other Rooms (1948) and The Grass Harp (1951). He was also coauthor of the motion picture Beat the Devil, cowrote the screenplay for The Innocents, and adapted some of his stories for television.
