Calcium carbonate



Calcium carbonate, mineral (CaCO3) abundant in nature. Limestone, marble, coral, calcite, and chalk have calcium carbonate as a main ingredient. Calcium carbonate is used in toothpaste, tooth powder, and stomach medicine. Stalactites and stalagmites that form in caves are made from water that deposited this white, crystalline mineral.
