James Cagney



Cagney, James (1904–86), U.S. film actor who played cocky, aggressive tough guys in such classic gangster movies as The Public Enemy (1931) and The Roaring Twenties (1939). He won an Academy Award for his portrayal of George M. Cohan in Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942).
