Filippo Brunelleschi



Brunelleschi, Filippo (1377–1446), first great Italian Renaissance architect. One of the first practitioners of linear perspective, he was influenced by classical Roman and 11th-century Tuscan Romanesque architecture. His masterpiece is the dome of the Florence cathedral (1420–36).
