Robert Bresson



Bresson, Robert (1907– ), French film director, noted for the austere, penetrating quality of his work. His films include Diary of a Country Priest (1950), The Trial of Joan of Arc (1962), and Lancelot of the Lake (1976). In 1994, he received a “Felix” (European film prize) for his works.
