Boadicea



Boadicea, or Boudicca (d. A.D. 61), British queen of the Iceni of Norfolk. In A.D. 60 she led a revolt against the Romans, sacking Camulodunum (Colchester), Londinium (London), and Verulamium (St. Albans) before being defeated. She took poison to avoid capture.
