Blackbuck (Antilope cervicaprd), antelope of India and Pakistan. Once numbering millions, there are now only a few thousand left in the plains and woodlands where they live in herds. The females and young are yellow-fawn with a white eye-ring; the adult males are dark brown, stand about 32 in (81 cm) tall at the shoulder, and bear spiral horns up to 2 ft (60 cm) long. Blackbuck are very swift and used to be hunted with cheetahs.
