Alexander Berkman



Berkman, Alexander (1870–1936), Polish-born U.S. anarchist. During a steel strike, he tried to assassinate the Carnegie Steel Co. head, Henry C. Frick (1892). He served 14 years' imprisonment. In 1917 he was imprisoned for draft obstruction, then deported to Russia in 1919.
