Bering Sea



Bering Sea, extreme northern arm of the North Pacific Ocean, 885,000 sq mi (2,292,150 sq km) in area, bounded by East Siberia, Alaska, and the Aleutian Islands. It contains Nunivak Island, St. Lawrence Island, and the Komandorskiye Islands (former USSR). The international dateline crosses it diagonally.
