Thomas Hart Benton
Benton, Thomas Hart (1889–1975), U.S. painter; greatnephew of Senator Thomas Hart Benton. He was a leader of the influential 1930s regionalist school of painting, devoted to depicting the life of rural America as in his Threshing Wheat.
