Battleship

Battleship, historically the largest of conventionally armed warships. Aircraft carriers superseded them during World War II as the largest fighting ships afloat. The largest battleship now is the USS New Jersey, with a full-load displacement of 59,000 tons (59,100 metric tons) and an overall length of 887 ft (309 m). The USS Massachusetts is now a floating marine museum in Fall River, MA.
