Basket Makers



Basket Makers, prehistoric Native American culture flourishing in the Southwest more than 2,000 years ago. An agricultural people, the Basket Makers were the earliest members of a large group called the Anasazi. They developed a multi-storied dwelling called a pueblo; after about 700 A.D., the Anasazi were called the Pueblo.
