Bernard Marines Baruch



Baruch, Bernard Marines (1870–1965), U.S. financier and presidential economic adviser. He was chairman of the War Industries Board in World War I, adviser to F. D. Roosevelt in World War II, and U.S. delegate to the UN Atomic Energy Commission in the 1950s, proposing the “Baruch Plan” for international control of atomic energy.
