Barley



Barley, adaptable and hardy cereal plants (Hordeum vulgare and Hordeum distichon), of the grass family, cultivated since ancient times. The former USSR was the largest producer, with Canada and the United States following. Over half of the world's crop is used for animal feed, and 10% is turned into malt.
