Berthe Morisot



Morisot, Berthe (1841–95), French impressionist painter. Her paintings, which often included family members, were noted for the originality of their design and their exquisite color. Morisot was a prominent figure in the Parisian art world, and was good friends with Degas, Renoir, and Eduard Manet, whose brother she married.
