Thomas Mifflin



Mifflin, Thomas (1744–1800), American soldier and political leader. A member of the First Continental Congress (1774–76, 1782–84) during the Revolutionary War he rose to the rank of quartermaster general (1775–77). He was later a delegate to the Constitutional Convention (1787) and the first governor of Pennsylvania (1790–99).
