Willie Mays



Mays, Willie (1931– ), U.S. baseball player. An outfielder for the New York (later, San Francisco) Giants (1951–72), he hit 660 home runs in his career (third on the all time list) and was named the National League's most valuable player twice (1954, 65). He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979.
