Saint Luke



Luke, Saint (fl. 1st century A.D.), traditional author of the third Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. A Gentile and a physician, he was influenced by his friend, St. Paul, whom he accompanied on missionary journeys. His feast day is Oct. 18.
