Sir Bernard Lovell



Lovell, Sir Bernard (1913– ), British radio astronomer. As director of the Jodrell Bank (now Nuffield Radio Astronomy Laboratories) he was instrumental in constructing one of the world's largest steerable radio telescopes (1957).
