Marie Laurencin



Laurencin, Marie (1885–1956), French painter and printmaker, designer of textiles, clothing, and stage decorations for the Ballet Russe and the Comédie Française. Her personal style was characterized by simplified images, usually of women, and pastel colors. Works include The Assembly (1910) and In the Park (1924).
