Aram Ilich Khachaturian



Khachaturian, Aram Ilich (1903–78), Soviet-Armenian composer. His music was influenced by the folk music of Armenia and the Orient. He is famous for the Violin Concerto (1940), the “Saber Dance” in his ballet Gayané (1942), and the orchestral suite Masquerade (1944).
