Urho Kaleva Kekkonen



Kekkonen, Urho Kaleva (1900–86), president of Finland, 1956–81. Head of the Agrarian Party, he held cabinet posts and was prime minister 1950–56. He resigned the presidency in 1981 because of poor health and was succeeded in 1982 by Mauno Koivisto.
